Sept 10 - lots of activity and games - at least with the older ones that sometimes use the youngsters as toys
|
|
Bought a new tower for the babies and, as usual, they are more interested in the box rather than a toy itself :)
But more than anything, at this age, it is all about playing with each other rather than objects and BITING - you would be happy they are not coming home to you yet! Those tiny teeth are raison-blade sharp!

Sept 5
August 30-31
I made a big mistake purchasing new litter: I love OcoCat natural litters and they come in many different types, so this time I decided to try the Super Soft Wood. And supersoft it is! It is SO soft that kittens decided it is best for sleeping in it :) And it is SO light that the tracking is just tremendous - it is everywhere: in their fluffy fur, soft blanket and mothers' paws. The mess of it was unbelievable! Here's the sad proof :)
August 24 - the older ones are 3 1/2 weeks old
August 19 - little sleeping beauties
August 10 - Goldie's kittens 10 days old (Daisy's - in the back - a week younger)
Sept 29-30: Goldie's kittens are almost 9 weeks - vet visit and vaccinations, all well so time to start selection
Sept 19: Goldie's kittens = 7 weeks old (Daisy's two female kittens are staying in the cattery, so no further posts here)
Older kittens left and this group moved into a larger nursery where they greatly enjoy the freedom and attractions

Oct 25 - he is the only one left (until this afternoon) and spends his time with his adoptive mother. Daisy is not his biological one but they look absolutely identical in color :)
Oct 22 - gone fishin'...
I did not think that I would be posting more updates but the kittens decided to have some more fun before going to their furever homes :)
|
|
Oct 13 - just when I though they could not be more active and adventurous, they get even bolder: they run like crazy on the top shelves under the ceiling and drop things I did not think could be dropped :)
|
|
New toy - WHAT IS THIS? I guess we have to be careful but SO interesting... So who is the bravest? WOW - you can actually stick your head through these holes! So much fun! Few minutes later they all jump through them like rabbits :)
Unsuccessful on its own because the material is too thin and flattens immediately when they jump on it, I attached a frame from an old cheap $ store tunnel and now it stays put for a relatively long time allowing them to jump up and through

Moms used to use these top shelves for themselves when they needed rest - not anymore...
|
|
These little monkeys finally figured out a way to get up and down to these top shelves - they all usually get there by week 10 like a clock. They happily chase each other and wrestle there, so the shelves require something for them to hold on to. Baby-bed bumpers are ideal as a liners and can be purchased at most second hand stores for a couple bucks - unless you have them from your own babies at home. I always buy all of them when I have a chance. Great shelf liners!

These videos take so much space that even with double-compression I practically ran out. So please watch before I remove them as I do with all the older ones.

Oct 10 - our daily schedule: eat, play, sleep, repeat
They are always eagerly waiting for me by the nursery door every morning and the whole pound of
chicken meat with bones and organs is inhaled within a few minutes

With renewed energy the active games continue for an hour - hour & half until completely exhausted
they fall asleep for a couple hours - before a new cycle starts

Oct 5 - more of the same :)
Two little kittens that are occasionally seen in the videos - brown tortie with white and a tiny Neva with a white pompom of her tail - are Daisy's daughters that I am keeping (at least for a while) to replace my two recently retired queens. That is why there is no information about them.
Litter box is a place of comfort both physical and mental: it is for playing in it and even sleeping occasionally but mostly for sharing it with a good company of SIB-lings :)
Oct 3 - grey day outside but a lot of activity inside this afternoon. But after a couple hours of non-stop zoomies, everybody is fast asleep now
This playground is fantastic - they never get tired of it and it can be reconfigured in different ways.
In fact, it reconfigures itself every time kittens play. I bought it for the previous litter and it has been the best play area ever since.
Nothing tires them more than jumping through these hoops - literally - for an hour or so :) Then they get hungry, eat and go to sleep.

Bon Appétit, my darlings!
My babies LOVE their raw food so much that they won't even touch anything else. Keep that in mind

Nov 18-20: HAVING LOTS OF FUN DROPPING THINGS AND SCRATCHING AT THE TV AND COMPUTER IMAGES

Minnie has no patience for sleeping when there is so much to do!
|
"Hey, sis, enough sleeping! Let's go have some fun"
|
|
|
If not involved in mischief they love to spend their time in my bed

But the favorite activity is watching Netflix and catching the actors...
even if sometimes it means falling off...
